That area is supposed to be one color, I think I still have some room for adding more detail.

Those are not usually on all of the time. I'll add them as black rectangles.

No problem. It was a quick fix. The Reliant is now working ingame and it damages very well also (first image is slightly photoshopped).

Wiley, are you using omnis or spotlights to illuminate your registries in Max? I only ask because the lighting looks unnatural.

Reliant looking good, but if I recall from the ST2 DVD extras they made the Reliants bridge lights red to make it look more evil?

Neither- the registry spotlights are the alpha channels of the textures. The scene is lit with omni lights.

Yes and no. In Photoshop, you can make good spotlights by creating another document and going to Render>Lighting Effects. Once opened, you should see 4 sections- Style, Light Type, Properties, and Texture channel (don't use this one, I don't). change the background color in Properties to black, so you won't have a lighter square around your spotlight. Then just move the points composing the spotlight and you are done. Just copy the spotlight into your alpha channel.

Some lights can be done with a blurry brush tool, but not all.

Ah, ok. I always thought you baked your lighting in from Max. Not bad for the photoshop method. (I never really liked that method.)

Some of the speculars I had to make up because they were not as pronounced as the saucer aztec.

I think it would look better if all the visible hull paneling was vertical instead of a mash between horizontal and vertical. Make sit seem more consistent and thats how I rate a lot of my stuff.

I've fixed the torpedo bay, nacelle lights both red and the ones that are lit on the inside, and I also fixed the connection between the nacelle pylons and the nacelles so they are off center like the studio model.
