Videos
Articles display video previews using WEBP poster images hosted by the BCMM site. Opening an article does not load the YouTube player merely because a video tile is present.
When you choose to open a video, the site creates a YouTube player using that
video's privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com embed address. Your browser then
connects to YouTube and Google services. Those third parties may process request
data or use cookies or browser storage under their own policies. Closing the media
viewer, or moving to another item, removes the active player from the page.
Forms and other third-party content
Google Forms content is not loaded automatically. The article first displays a local notice and activation link. When you choose to open the form, your browser connects to Google and the site creates the form iframe.
Google may process request data or use cookies or browser storage under its own policies. Information you choose to submit through the form is sent to and handled by Google; the static BCMM site does not process the form submission itself.
Comments
Article comments are powered by Giscus, which uses GitHub Discussions. Comments are not loaded automatically when you open an article. The article first displays a local notice, and your browser connects to Giscus and GitHub only when you choose to load the comments.
Posting a comment requires GitHub authentication as required by Giscus. Comments and reactions are stored publicly in the BCMM GitHub Discussions repository. GitHub and Giscus provide the discussion service and handle the associated data processing under their own policies; the static BCMM site does not operate its own comments database.
