BCMM SFC3 Intro

What to Expect?

SFC 3 missions were short, and we have not really changed much on our end in that regard. The new campaign is a cinematic blend with BC, though.

We have reinterpreted some story elements, but mostly we try to follow the source material. For example, we cannot use voices from SFC 3 directly; therefore, we had to cut Picard's appearances in the missions.

You may also have noticed that for cutscenes, we use exterior view instead of showing the bridge or character faces. There is a reason for that as well. This is not due to limitations or anything, but due to paying homage to SFC3, which only had an external ship view.

All in all, expect the story to follow the general flow of SFC 3 campaigns, with a few twists of our own added to them. You will see these when you play the campaigns.

Why is the captain voiced?

Why not? In all seriousness, we thought it would be fitting to have the captains voiced.

As usual, this idea was the result of a late-night brainstorming session discussion with Blackrook32. It might not be for everyone, but it gives the campaign a nice flow in the dialogue sequences.

The goal is to have every captain voiced.

How many missions?

If memory serves me correctly, there should be about 43 missions. The Klingon and Romulan campaigns had 15 missions, while the Federation campaign had 13 missions.

Expect several hours of gameplay.

Can I play the Federation or Romulan campaign directly?

Missions are unlocked once you achieve win conditions; therefore, the answer is no. Though you can edit a file to unlock them if you wish.

When do I get to play?

When it's done... Hopefully in late 2024 or early 2025.

Will there be more campaigns?

There are several ideas, but that's a story for another time.
