You think THAT'S terrible? How about this? (And this is actually the best my connection has ever been)

EDIT: I also suggest a Pingtest.net result too.

Mine isn't bad, but it's also nothing special. It gets the job done I suppose.

Americans may have speed, but not consistency.  there's 4 or 5 different types of net services available, yet...including dialup!  yes, there are still dialup connections in the US.  because they haven't run fibre optic cables out to the wilds of the northwest or Alaska yet.

also, for those people still on dialup, the server may be fifty miles away as the crow flies, but as the electron flies, it's probably going through thousands of miles of wire before it even gets there, then probably has to wait for a voice transmission to cease first.

Majormagna: i'm only slightly higher than you.  unlike almost everyone else on here, MY ISP still runs the connection through land lines.  I bet everybody else here runs through cable/fiber optics/satellite feed.

edit: why the double post?  Chrome was being an ass :P

ofcourse my dad's doing some pretty intensive network stuff for IBM, in our basement, so that might skew the results

 :sad:
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
 We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
 One equal temper of heroic hearts,
 Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
 To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I don't know, but here in Sofia, the current internet Im using, is very slow for servers out of Bulgaria. From Bulgarian servers Im downloading with 8MegaBytes/s and uploading with 2MegaBytes/s and its just for 15lv (around 12-13USD). Around Shumen, where I live, for 20lv, I download with 1.2MegaBytes/s and upload with 70-80KiloBytes/s :uberlol: :uberlol:
I like Sofia :D
