Praying this is as good as the other two. Wondering which Alpha Predator will be in it.

Predator has needed some attention on its own for too long.

It doesn't look too great.

Then again, anything is better than 'Alien Vs Predator Requiem' these days.  :funny
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

hmmm already looks too funky ... dunno about you but for me Predator 2 and Alien 3 were the last movies of their kind everything after these was missunderstanding (especially Alien Resurrection and AVP Requiem)... There will be lot's of crappy explosions and shaky cams + horribly fited music (Imagine first Predator with heavy metal or hard rock instead of Alan's Silvestri music... OMFG it would suck because music wouldn't build any climate at all) Fishbourne is good choice for main character I think I saw Adrien Brody as well so at least cast is so far so good...

I'm not whining but last movies from Alien or Predator franchise were sooo disappointing that I'm not really enthusiastic about another movie...

'Predators', according to Robert Rodriguez, is meant to be taken as a prequel to 'Predator 1'.

Normally, prequels suck (HINT *Star Wars 1, 2 and 3* HINT) so I am not holding out much hope for 'Predators'. I've never really seen any films by Robert Rodriguez, but apprently he is quite good at what he does so 'Predators' might actually turn out well.

Laurence Fishburne. Honestly, he will always just be 'Morpheus' to me.  :funny
I honestly can't picture him in a 'Predator' movie. 'Event Horizon' is the only other Laurence Fishburne movie I like.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Yeah agree on everything but Laurence Fishburne, he might actualy be interesting as long as he don't go Schwarznegger berserk and instead he stay mysterious kind like Billy in Predator 1 ;)

As long as Fishburne doesn't yell 'Get to da choppa!!!' or something similar, then this film should be okay, lol. :p

'Predators', according to Robert Rodriguez, is meant to be taken as a prequel to 'Predator 1'.

Sequel you mean since events from the first movie will be referenced in the past tense as pointed out below.

Quote
?Rodriguez confirmed that the film will be Rated R.
?Greg Nicotero, who worked on the original "Predator", was brought on board to help the Rodriguez?s Troublemaker Studios FX crew.
?There will be various types of Predators in the film: falconer predator, a flushing predator and a dog handling predator.
?The film is meant to be a real sequel to the original, and there is a direct dialogue reference to the events of the first film.
?Two tribes of Predators: Desert Nomad (armor-wearing) and Berserker (purely natural skin without high-tech armor).
?3D was discussed but Rodriguez feels it?s better to shoot natively in 3D so he didn?t want to convert it.
?The plan is definitely to make more if this one does well.
?The trailer will likely be attached to this Friday?s "Repo Men".

No. Prequel, just like I said.

Quote from: Robert Rodriguez
The idea of the film was to not make it seem like the 5th or 6th film in the series but the first

That line I just quoted was said by Robert Rodriguez himself in the video above, indicating that this is, infact, a prequel.

Clearly, Rodriguez wasn't talking literally.

Notice the word "seem"

He is saying he wants to feel like the first film.
