Very nice.

My tiny nitpicks:
There needs to be more variation in the impulse grill, try upping the contrast.
The bussard needs to be a little more orange.

Ok, criticism done. Still, very nice.

I have twicked the impulse engine and the bussard, and also started something new.

The Narada's inner cone needs to be a hell of a lot smaller and the pine's need to extend outwards further.

He'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,
Strange love a star woman teaches.
I know
His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me."

Since you're just starting on the Narada, this should help a lot.
It's the first deleted scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBmD2NSwZm0&feature=related

There's a external shot of the Narada that was never finished by ILM, so you can see the inside cone quite well.
It looks as if there is (from rear to front) a semi-sphere with lots of notches, a pentagron shaped shaft with 5 or so pentagon "ribs" along it, then a rounded nose that comes down to the pentagron shaped "door" in the center of the ship.
This might help get a better idea of the shape and size: http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs50/f/2009/313/b/b/Simplistic_Narada_comparison_by_JohnnyMuffintop.png
The center mass should be short enough to stop before that thin opening in the barbs.

I can not access either you tube or deviant art from work so have not look at the ref's yet.

I have tweaked the model a little.

Shrink the "eggs" and you'll have it.  Very nice work on the spines though.

I just had a horrific idea.  The Narada and V'ger team up. O.o

That video of the Kelvin is great, caught it %100. Plus, upside-down shots are always nice, and you really have come a long way. Can't wait to see what your models will be like in another few more months, I think Wiley ought to be worried. :funny

I beg to differ.  :D(see attached pic) It's nice to see Baz1701's skill improving.
