She's lookin purdy, DJ.  Another classic in the works! :yay:

What sort of lighting do you use for your renders?  I'm guessing at least one normal Omni, but where is it and what sort of attributes does it have?

thanks,
well shes coming along beautifully, altho i think the neck looks abit to busy, maybe reduce the number of windows by a few just to balance out the amount of windows on the saucer section and engineering hull so the ship as a whole doesnt look to over crowded with windows of course its just my personal taste lol, still awesome looking ship,
will this ship be equivilant to the ambassador in power?

In terms of power, I will give it type X phaser arrays on the saucer section, and Ambassador equivalent arrays on the rest of the ship.  (Type IX?)  The ship will also fire only five photons compared to ten on the Galaxy.  Shields and hull will be pretty similar.  If anything, I'll give the shields a slower recharge rate.  This ship will be more maneuverable, but it's weakness is a single impulse engine, compared to the Galaxy's three.

Did some pretty serious work today...

-textured a bunch of the ventral pylons.  More to do.
-detailed the ventral saucer.
-added details to the ventral engineering hull.
-textured the upper interhull connecting to the saucer.
-textured the bottoms of the warp engines.
-added more textures to the tops of the warp engines.
-added textures behind the shuttle bay
-added a sensor strip to the aft edge of the ship

I should be finished the textures tomorrow morning.  Mostly just adding more detail in places and texturing a few small areas, such as the saucer sensor dome, top of the impulse engine, aux. deflector, bridge, front of the interhull, etc.

Guess I haven't been keeping up with this as well as I thought!  Just noticed that your registry is 1895-A.  Does that say "Endeavour"?  What was the first Endeavour's class?  Need to know for the Starship Reg List.  (Yes, I'm still doing it!)

Don't worry about it, I'm not even sure I'm keeping that registry.  That being said, the Endeavour registry was from a Connie.

It's LC's old lighting rig.  Adonis taught it to me.  It's a skylight set up with advanced lighting.

Diffuse textures are all done, though a name change is still coming.  I've decided to go with Neb's suggestion of Orion for the class name.

She looks fantastic! Can't wait to get her alongside a Galaxy or at the head of a Wolf 359 fleet.

Wonderful work on this, a real beauty :woot:

Every detail you add just makes it that much better.

Like how you've done all the registries and fleet insignia. The only place I notice that stands out to me is there is no registry where the forward launcher is. Always liked that on the Galaxy Class. You may be wanting to differ there than with the Galaxy,  :)

Looking forward to seeing her ingame.

Just so you guys know, I'm going to pick this up again once BCFiles is working right again.  It won't take me long to finish up, maybe 2 hours to do the HP and stuff.  Same with the Damar, which is otherwise ready to go.

Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like a good decision to me.

FileFront has been very buggy as of late. Hopefully It's because they are working on the new layout for the sites.
