Can load into Test Mode, but can't open the console.

I found out that installing BC somewhere other than Program Files on Vista will allow Test Mode to work...I was able to Shift-K and destroy a ship, so I know test mode works. But then I pressed ` and then Enter as the FileFront forum FAQ thread instructed and nothing happens...

Basically I just want to go into Edit Mode to move the camera around to do screen shots, so its not too pressing at the moment but I would love to be able to have more flexibility in screen shots.

What type of keyboard are you using?
US, UK, French, German, Dvorak?

If it's not US or UK, then it's the multiply sign * but it could be the not numpad, or it could just be the numpad multiply.

It's a US keyboard, but I'll try those other keys just in case.

Well thatd be Shift-8 on my keyboard, I didn't think that would work.

It could also be the numpad multiply.

Tried that too. I basically hit every key on my keyboard thats not already assigned to a game function...nothing. Its weird...I'm obviously in test Mode since I can Shift-K and destroy ships and Shift-G into God Mode.

Delete KeyboardBinding.py and KeyboardBinding.pyc and try again, deleting those files ought to reset your keybindings (and thus the Console key).

Solved! I realized that "Toggle Console" can be changed in the options menu, and apparently the "`" won't work so I changed it to the keypad "*" and I'm in business. Thanks guys!
