Bridge Texture Problem
« on: May 05, 2007, 05:09:07 PM »
Hey, I have a problem with bridge textures not functioning properly, everything else is in proper order. Every bridge has its own type of texturing abnormality. i.e. the galaxy bridge floor is totally black, and the sov ceiling looks like a nest of bees, and the floor looks just odd. I tried reinstalling, updating graphics drivers, changing graphics options, virtually everything i could think of. recently, i installed a friends copy of BC, and it has the same error, so it has bo be something with my comp. it s not only with the standard bridges but also with every1 i install. I have reached a limit where i have no idea what 2 do, so i post here... i hope u guys can help..

i also added a few screenshots of what it looks like.

That's way to ordered to be a bug.

It might be a "shader". Check your drivers configuration panel. I know that ATI has this ability atleast.

These are shaders that are loaded by the driver itself btw.
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

My graphics cars has a control panel somewhere, i just need 2 find it..
Its a Gf4 4800 btw
and when i found it, what do i do with it?

it worked without these problems before, for a long time.

I uploaded the dbridge and ebridge to rapidshare,

i found my graphics card config panel, but it says nothing about shaders, about antialiasing, but not about shaders... :(

i checked the models in my game, they load fine - so it must be a driver issue.

Well the problem is related to the way that your computer is storing information related to the game. The only way to fix that is to find and repair the software that is causing the problem.

Further then that I dont think anyone is really going to be able much advice since the problem could be in a variety of software. The best bet is to ensure you have the latest drivers, and that you reset your machine if you encounter the problem again (working from fresh might make things better).
