So long!
« on: June 13, 2011, 08:46:15 PM »
After 8 years of playing Bridge Commander with you, watching this game evolve, seeing the amazing talent that has come and gone through the BC-Filefront doors, I think it's time I say good bye to this awesome place. I love Star Trek, and this game. But I'm devoting my time to other endeavors and I had to make a choice. There is a 1/350 Polar Lights Enterprise screaming to be built hanging out in my garage along with many other Star Trek kits.

So anyway...I have not been active enough in the forums to get to know any of you really. So to anyone I may have made mad, I'm sorry. To anyone I've annoyed, I had the best of intentions. To anyone I may have (accidentally) helped - you're welcome and pay it forward. To the modders and model builders, keep rocking it guys...if I ever come back it's because you've defied the odds and kept the game alive for many more years to come.

To everyone else, live long and prosper!

It's obviously your choice to leave but be assured that you're always welcome. I feel that you can still get to know people here and be a part of this great community.

You can build your Polar Lights model(s) and still play BC... and you'll always be a fellow Star Trek brother  :D

Thanks very much friend! It is a difficult choice to be sure. BC has brought me a lot of joy and, like Star Trek itself, has helped me through tough times (escapism is good). Modeling though is an expensive hobby at times and to keep it up along with all the stuff I like about BC (I LOVE making videos, especially greenscreening them into the "real" world) is not condusive to my life as a husband and in corporate America.

The day I win the lottery, rest assured, I'm back with a vengence!

Thanks again! Your comment is precisely what I love about being a Trekkie. Regardless of anything else in the world, there is always acceptance and friendship in these ranks. God bless you all!

Hate to see anyone leave, but I know how it is to find time for things.

We're all like Masons, but for Trek.  :D

Here's hoping you return someday. :drink2:
