Is there an all-in-one install solution?
« on: March 02, 2013, 07:46:39 AM »
Hi Everyone,

Apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn't find a similar thread.

I've install the KM packs, but seem only to get some of the mods.  All my mutators are on and I've followed the instructions to the best of my ability, but am getting lost in copying scripts, creating plug ins and such.  I've followed all the instructions I can find, but it seems for the fairly new user it leaves a few details out.

Is there any way to install the files through a '.exe' file or really basic step by step walk through anywhere out there?

Thanks

to be honest Jimbola when you install km you should be getting loads of ships etc...
someone else has been having similar problems. prehaps your extracting program is malfunctioning (shrugs just a thought... oh i use WinRar to extract mine and dont have any issues)

here's how i did mine (i think lol it was a while ago lol)

1) install BC
2) install BC patch 1.1
3) download KM 2012 from km website and install
4) start game turn on every mutator
5) restart BC and check in game
5a) BACK UP (if running as it should)
6) down load and install other mods like BCS: the begining
                                                      other ships bases etc
                                                      other stand alone mods
7) ensure each time you have got bc installed and working to your parameters you back it up.

Hi,

That's great.

What's confusing me is having to drag and drop script, data, tgl and such files from place to place.  It's all making me a bit lost.

hmm when you down load something you normally have data, scripts etc... all you do is select all the folders and copy them then go to your bc folder in the activision folder you paste and overwrite all.

thats it sorry dude not seeing the confusion there?

Looks as if I'm being really stupid.

Thanks anyway, hopefully I'll get a grip of it
