24k, and thats without any reduction, which could be a viable reduction even further. The saucer has a very dense frame that could be merged considerably.

at that rate, i reccomend Eloi simply build it himself. this would make a good reference if any.

if that model needs poly reduction THAT much, just rebuild it yourself Eloi. you obviously have the skill to do it dude!

24k is not high.  Above average, but not high.

24k is not high.  Above average, but not high.

i always try to go between 10k to 20k. depending on how much detail i want to throw in.

at anyrate, id still rather see Eloi build it :P

I started messing around with the USS Scott today.  This ship will be the USS Tucker.

Glad you guys like it.  I'm done texturing it and here are some shots with the USS Scott.

Overall there is a very slight color change to the hull.  Also, the nacelles are shorter on the Tucker.  The main impulse engine has also been split a bit so that the exhaust doesn't directly hit the pylon supporting the pod.  To compensate for the loss in thrust I've added some small engines to the pod.  Also, in rendering I've noticed a few errors I'm going to fix.  There needs to be a green light at the back of one of the nacelles, and I'm going to remove the escape pods hatches from the spine of the secondary hull.  Wouldn't want the crew ejecting into the pod would we?   :)

Any suggestions?

Mr. Trip Tucker would be proud, I should think.
