All major surfaces now mapped, you can see them in grey.  Whatever's yellow is unmapped, but most of it just needs a base color face map, which takes seconds.

-taps watch-

Dinner's over!  :dontcare:

Lol I thought this would be impossible...
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Remember, remember me."

I have not conked out!  Though I could finish texturing by 7 am, which is 7.5 hours from now for me, I don't think I'm going to stay up all night working on this.  Dealing with my children tomorrow without sleep is a bad plan.  :D

Probably more more update after this one before I hit the hay.

So far on the textures I'm working on a simple first layer without much paneling detail, and no aztecing so far.  Just trying to get the lines laid out, more or less.

It would make a good police cutter a derivative of the intrepid class.

It looks like a MK2 Intrepid.

Heh, the very first thought I had after seeing the first image: "Oooh look, an Intrepid variant/refit" :P

EDIT: After reviewing all posted images thus far, my only suggestion (if not too difficult), would be to lengthen the nacelles somewhat (10-15%), backwards. Forward end of the nacelles should remain as is, but extend them closer to the back end of the shuttlebay area. I realize you have begun mapping/texturing the ship, so this might not be possible at this juncture.

Still thou, I like what i'm seeing so far. Being that it's got some influence from Intrepid Class, and with the current nacelle configuration, a bit of Nebula class, I'd tend to see this as a late 24th, early 25th Century Intrepid/Nebula replacement.

EDIT 2: Heh, for a "refit" of this ship, after my suggestion of a "Nebula replacement", you could possibly modify the hull spine section, to include a Nebula-type "module" area. A SWACS-configuration might look good on a design like this.

I can almost see this having some sort of sensor/weapons pod. And with a bit of nacelle extension like Darkthunder suggested, it could almost resemble the Luna class. :P
