Livestream tutorials- Registries on Sat May 7 (see time)
« on: May 04, 2011, 06:25:15 PM »
I have said to many people that this summer I will be doing some more Livestream tutorials. I would like to know what people would want to see. I do not plan on doing more whole-ship builds- it would rather be sections, and bits of modeling. For the tutorials, I now use Photoshop CS5, Illustrator CS5, and 3ds Max 2010.

How to make Ship Registries- TOS, TMP, TNG

***Saturday May 7th, 6pm Central-Time*** Completed
http://www.livestream.com/wileycoyote?t=428435

My list so far:
UV mapping--
TOS Constitution from last tutorial

Texturing (eras?)
Aztec
TNG Texture

Creating correct registries- visual version of existing tutorial

Specific modeling---
Galaxy Class Secondary Hull
Sovereign/Prometheus nacelle
Sovereign-style secondary hull
Prometheus Saucer

Any other ideas? Once I have a good list, I can make myself a schedule of tutorials to do weekly (depending on my work schedule).

Would love to see a tutorial on how to build a Galaxy Class secondary hull or Galaxy-like secondary hull, and a Sovereign or Sovereign-like warp engine.  :-)

Speaking of tutorials, how goes it on that new ship design you were working on? The "Achilles" refit-type ship?

I was going to re-map it. I have also updated my WIP list on Page 1 in my WIP thread.

Creating correct registries- visual version of existing tutorial
yes please  :D
while i know a bit about scripting, i have less-than-noob skills with modeling, let alone creating custom registries for a ship...
i have tried (for years) valiantly to follow the current tutorials for creating ship registries, but it always is a mess for me...
i always have to resort to begging a modder to do so for me for my own install for my own ships...
even if creating a new ship registry upon one on a ship that is already there, if at all possible :)

They will be recorded live and able to be viewed after recording is finished.

Yeah that is the way I do them but the first method looks like it could be more crisp?
