Widescreen Support
« on: September 28, 2010, 10:59:28 AM »
Hi, I'd like to ask everyone who managed to make BC widescreen compatible (meaning not over-stretched & distorted looking) to say how you did it so that other people who have or will eventually have widescreen monitors can do it.  (Yes I'm aware that KM 2009 lets you do it with a simple resolution change but not everyone has or wants that mod, which is why I'm starting this discussion.)

it takes alot of script tweaking, and even then it isnt exactly perfect (hud displays slightly off and such)...
the only place i know of that talks about how to do it is in this thread:
http://forums.filefront.com/st-bc-modding-editing/386237-widescreen-1680x1050-hack-howto.html

other than that, your only place to get perfect WS support is in KM...

Ah, I see...  Well, the main reason I didn't get KM 2009 is because warp & "enhanced" warp take forever.  Is there a way around that?  (Besides restarting Quickbattle every time I want to go somewhere else)

You already know what you needed to do a month ago.;)

you know you can configure Galaxy Charts warp time...
you can have it so warping to a destination takes less than a second no matter it's distance...  ;)
All hail the messiah!
