Shuttle launching
« on: March 20, 2010, 10:06:31 AM »
sorry to ask this, guys, but it's driving me nuts.

where the blue bleep is the mutator switch and use switch for the shuttle launching?  the readme makes more emphasis on writing the script for adding shuttles and launch capability than it does giving directions on how to turn it on and other general use directions.

best line I've ever read
Me: mine [my bridges] would probably be simple to get the characters to use.  the only person that sits is the captian.
Baz: space is vast there[sic] legs will be tired by the time they get to the next planet

you can launch shuttles via science officer/menu, BCUT has cool and easy to use plugin creator for shuttle launch framework ;)

bones that wasn't all he was asking...

now....

you need your starter ship to have shuttle launch capability before it will work on any other ship...
you launch them from the sci menu....
there is no mutator to activate.
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

too late.  Tiq beat you guys to the punch.

i noticed that everyone who DLed the thing to begin with couldn't find the switch.  i had Tiq point it out.

Nebs: yes, there IS a mutator to activate...TWO of them.  it's not automatic.
flick the foundation switch and New Technology System (some of us don't automatically turn on Foundation), then it appears in the Science Officer's menu.

oh, and some ships already HAVE the setup for shuttle launching in them.

i knew, already, that you have to add shuttle launch capabilities, what i didn't know was how to turn on the mutator.

no I was right... shuttle launching doesn't have its own stand alone switch...
those you listed activate multiple add ons... that's the reason why I didn't say anything.

The KM beta if you get it auto turns on mutators. (so you don't even have to worry about missing anything)
