Thinking about installing Shuttle Launch
« on: January 30, 2010, 10:41:07 PM »
I've been thinking about finally installing shuttle launch framework but I've been hesitant because I've heard that it's somewhat unstable. I make backups of all my BC installs in case of any problems but I'd obviously prefer something worked right from the get go.

Can anyone give me some of their experiences with SLF? How stable has it been for you? Is it pretty simple to use?

Thanks!

The latest version which was released years ago IIRC should have fixed the majority of its issues...
SLF has also been part of KM for ages and it hasn't caused anything bad.

The one problem you may encounter which kills it are improperly made carrier files. (but simple enough to fix)
Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

I don't have KM.

Also, when your say "easy enough to fix" in reference to carrier files that kill SLF, can you elaborate on that?

it is usually a typo or pointing to the wrong ship.

generally, if there is a messed up carrier, nothing major happens except youll notice some functions of QBAutostart no longer work...  in either event, a console report pinpoints exactly which carrier script and where it went wrong....

One more question: Will SLF only work with QB Autostart or can it work with regular old QB?

QBA is a mod for QB it isn't a sep QB.
Though I don't think it is needed for SLF.
