Windowed Mode

I recently saw the 'tutorial' on how to run BC in widescreen.  It didn't work for me and after searching around nothing I found worked.  Since I have a widescreen monitor, BC runs stretchy for me.  I read that most people get around that by running the game in windowed mode, but I couldn't find the option to run in it windowed anywhere in the menus.

So how do you run windowed mode?

In the graphics options, under resolution you have "Size: Full-screen"
Click there and you go to windowed mode.

that's if he has testmode enabled or if a mod has it enabled for him...

Strange, worked fine for me. Did you use Notepad ++? The normal Windows Notepad causes errors on the .cfg's and some .py's

Ah, no I used wordpad because I read that notepad screws it up.  I'll try that other program.

But in case that doesn't work, how do you enable this 'test mode?'

As I suspected no resolutions worked even when I edited with notepad++.  I have a 1680x1050 22" dell widescreen.  I never expected the exact resolution to fit, but I was very surprised that none of them worked considering others say they got it to work at smaller but still widescreen resolutions...

But anyway, i'll be ok running in windowed mode if you will tell me how.

you need to edit way more than just the .cfg file for wide screen to work...
