I really need help.

Hey everyone.

I am quite new to BC Modding and worked on it the whole day (about 10 hours without pause).

I tried to find some decent noob tutorial but haven't found a good one.

That's what I did so far:

1. Installed BC + patch 1.1 + NoCD-Crack (for not needing the CD in the ROM)
2. Installed BCUT
3. Installed Foundation Full (via BCUT)
4. Installed NanoFX2.0Beta
5. Installed NanoFX Fix (from BCUT)       <- Don't know if needed
6. Installed UMM (with NanoFX Extra-Files)
7. Extracted BC_SDK1.1

Here are my problems:

1. It seems, that the game loads diffrently everytime I restart.
   It loses the Resolution setting, askes for the CD or loses the Mutator settings.
   When I restart the game, it's ok again, or not.

2. When I activate the NanoFX Mutator the Game crashes when entering singleplayer


My questions:

I wan't to pimp the Galaxy and Sovereign classes for fun.
I know I have to edit the *.py hardpoint files BUT those files are NOT .PY but .PYC
???

That kills BC modding right there....
We can't help people who modify their exe files....
If you have the BC cd handy you should use a program to create an image of it onto your HD and then daemon tools to run that cd img off the HD.

Also when you start to mod BC it's almost a given that SP will be broken.
If you want a modded SP experience I'd get BC Super mod v3.0.

Ok. I reinstalled BC w/o the crack.
But as I feared, the game won't start with just having the Image mounted.

Anyone else a good idea?

What about my other problems?
Is it likely that they were produced by the Crack?

What about NanoFX crashing the game?

I am using T&L in the Graphics Settings, could this be a problem?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
