>_>

I would be showing off the latest version of the first part, with Jb's awesome new planet texture about now, but the render (though been going for over 7 hours now) isn't even half way through! I'm off down south today to see MUSE (:arms:) and will be out til Saturday, so I guess I'll have to leave it on to finish rendering. I might set the next scene off to render concurently. They'll take longer, but its hardly gonna be quick as it is!

Wrong dock m8, the bc intro dock only has the curvy parts like in star trek generations ;)

I know Max, I'm just fishing for some opinions as finding one that fits perfectly is proving difficult. How's the Nemesis drydock look?

Though didn't the sov barely fit into it's dock??

id say go for generations dock, cause the nemesis dock doesnt work very well with the curvy lines of the galaxy

I think the Sovie drydock looks fine. Particularly since the Sovie is just as curvy as the Galaxy.
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

I think either dock would work, considering the time period for the game.

About the intro scene, the ship seems to have too much of a list.  Personally, I like the camera angles on the original intro scene much better (except for the fact that the ship turned almost 180 degrees).  I just like the way the camera moves up while the ship moves across the screen.

Ok, I've modified it so the camera rises up and tilts down a little. To be honest, I ignored most of the camera move of the original cos I thought it was clunky and unrealistic, but I think this should work better. I've animated the size of the glow on the nacelles to be smaller when theyre further away. I'll render out a lower quality version tonight to check its all ok before committing to 20 hours of rendering.

I have something neat to show off. I made the glowing interior of the shuttle bay, although the scene I'm rendering doesn't use it.
