Problem abandoning a doomed ship in qbr
« on: May 30, 2009, 11:38:39 AM »
Ok, this ones definately a script error...
In qbr, after abandoning a ship, When the ship finally blows up (either through auto destruct or enemy attack) I get the following message on screen:

I have to type 'resume' to get back to the game, but it does it every time a surviving pod is blowen up aswell.

There are no problems when the ship blows up with me still on it

Strangly, this doesn't happen with the default ship when qbr is first loaded (in my case an ambassador class)

Console report:

any ideas?
Cheers!

most likely, this is the same as the problem you had with MVAM, QBR isn't really designed to work with things that change the player ship.

Thats what i thought. But then why was the abandon ship function, along with the other functions, included in the qbr install?  :|

Besides, it's not actually the abandoning thats the problem. That works fine, its just when the ship i was previously on blows up that it bugs up.

even when you've restarted with a different ship?
Cos mine works for the default ship when QBR is first started, but not after i set-up and re-start

Managed to get it working by accident!

I had to update the new 'player' ship once before updating it again with a starting system.

Before, I had been setting it up all in one ship 'update'

Edit: Hmm, I'm still getting the error every time an escape pod is destroyed. I've prevented it for now by making them all invincible, but if anyone has any other ideas let me know :)
