Looks reasonably clean.  I would probably try to eliminate verts/polys in the bigger open spaces and transfer those numbers to the edges to smooth them out.  Then just make sure you keep tight control over your smoothing groups and I think this baby's a winner.

looks pretty good, baz.  i think some of those hard edges need to just be smoothed out and perhaps a little more definition in places like the undercut.

edit* and by the way, these are just suggestions.  take em or leave em as you want.  :)

Just a few suggestions based on the Blu-ray ship simulator shots Wiley posted

(I've attached an image cos I'm rubbish at explaining)

The bits at the top of the pylons don't spread out as they connect to the nacelle (at least, not as much)

The shuttle bay edge should flow into the back of the pylon in a smoother curve

There's an lip along the side of the ship, where the lower part of the hull is wider than the upper.

Where you have a hard edge (marked in blue) the hull should curve round.

This site has some excellent schematics that might help :) :

Other than that, she looks great  :)

Depending on how poly-heavy the final model is, have you considered actually modeling the internal bussard gears?
Also, fantastic progress. Hope the skills you learn for this will let you make your own ships ever better.

Definitely shaping up Baz.  Though Tribble is right about those things, this is one of the best JJPrises yet. :D

Baz1701 thats a good effort.

The first image shows the errors in the mesh, the second shows the fixes.

remember that all vertexes need to join to other vertexes like a net or fence, hence its called a mesh.

Hope that helps, keep up the good work.

Even though shes looking great, theres still a lot of details that are not quite correct.

Your warp engines for example, they aew missing something on the underside of them that I can only assume are some kind of plasma vents. Check the underside of the nacelles on schematics posted earlier and the high res screenshots of the Ship in the Blu-Ray ship simulator that Wiley sent you.

Also, theres a few details that don't look quite right with the deflector dish area on your model. It may be because you haven't built the deflector dish yet, but there is definatly something not quite right about it at the moment. Again, see schmatics posted earlier as well as the screenshots Wiley sent you from the Blu-Ray.

Otherwise, great work.  :)

Can't wait for 2014 to start.

still trying to get the main shape right.

Things like windows, docking ports and other greebles will follow when that is done.

Rest assured I have not forgot the details, it is far from done.

Can some one take a look at this an see how I can fix the mesh errors from the cutting, I have tried but no joy.

you have to move and weld vertexes one by one.
