Much better!  Just fix that curve on the aft ventral side of the secondary hull and it'll be great! :D

seems it was worth it.  though you need to clean up some vertices along edges here and there.

Bring up the small area outside the shuttlebay a little bit, then it'll be even better.

Looking really good there now, though what is this little bit at the center of the black square in the attached?

Awesome progress Baz.
One question though, you going for the "official" 725 meters?

That is something that will be picked up in the clean up. It is the nacelles main cylinder poking through.

Bring up the small area outside the shuttlebay a little bit, then it'll be even better.

I'm hoping to increase the size without having to do a major rebuild of the area.

I still have to learn how to tidy / clean up my meshes. Any 3D max tips on how to do this would be grand.

Awesome progress Baz.

Not Sure, I am not a fan of the larger than Galaxy scale of this ship. Worse case I'll make two scaled versions (or just a sensible sized one for myself)

n all honesty, i think you could jest have her 10% bigger than a connie refit. I guess as long as a side profile in bigger it would be fine. Even thou officially it's like the biggest ship in federation history seeing it on screen it never felt like that.

I think you misunderstood me.

I was actually talking about the external flat surface that is just outside the shuttle bay door. Your model isn't in-line with the diagram from earlier. See picture. Just wondering if you were going to change it a little.

Also, will you be adding the missing parts to the warp engines aswell?

Woow the ship is getting very cool ;) The winter vacation I will read some tutrials, becouse for now I am using 3ds max, only to preview the backfaces on the mesh and fix everything in my Rhino 3D, with witch I am drawing the ships.

Right the main elements are built.

I  have tried to keep the shapes to a minimum.

Saucer 1 lathed line
Nacelles - 7 seperate parts each
secodary hull, neck and pylons, 2 cylinders

Personally I think you're off to a good start, though i would probably spend some time refining the mesh.  Basically making sure that the ship's lines flow smoothly and don't appear choppy because one part of the mesh is improperly intersecting another.  I'd also try to have the whole thing be a unified mesh with all the verts welded.

Looking good.  The design has grown on me.
