I would take it easy on the saucer damage.

The saucer is effectively a shield for the stardrive but out numbered there is no way the Romulan's wouldn't concentrate on Enterprise's power system and warp engines.

He's just copying what was seen on the model.

The secondary hull and the nacelles are all going to get the same treatment. She will look wrecked just as we saw in the show.

Would be fun to reimagine the "Year of Hell" using the Enterprise-C, and WITHOUT the reset button in the end. We know how it ends for the Enterprise-C. :P

Out of curiosity, how much is this affecting the poly count?

I'd say roughly 200 to 300 polys

That's a really nice effect. Hasn't taken the poly's up as much as I'd have though. Did you do this with your Ent-A?

Only the self destruct version. The TWOK and TSFS versions were texture only

Only nitpick is the overall weathering looks very gridded.  LOVE the rest of the damage though.

had to be carefull with the  destroyed TSFS refit...it'd pop up in random galaxy charts things for some odd reason and crash everybody on my comp.  same thing would occasionally happen with a damaged Constelllation from anybody or even the Connie SPACEFRAME from a base I tested.  at least this one would be able to fend stuff off instead of crashing me :P

Agree about the dirt layer so I have changed it. I have to now tweak the ID map on the lower saucer as the dirt is not consistant around the regisistry.

So the Enterprise C had no considerable structural damage after taking this much direct hits against the hull...
That would suggest it was out numbered by inferior aggressors.

No wonder the D'derridix is so Powerful 20 years later.
With full access to Enterprises systems they no doubt had every intention of surpassing the next starship
by leaps and bounds...
