Refit 80% done, just need a couple of minor mesh changes then a little textre work.

As for the battle damage version I will be trying to keep the locations canon but I will be cutting the hull up rather than just a texture rework.

I actually prefer the lowered nacelles on the refit. Great work as usual though.

Here's the kicker: The Enterprise-C version of the Refit, did it have regular height or lowered nacelles? Perhaps the Enterprise-C/Damaged Enterprise-C should be lowered (if it was lowered on screen).

The lower nacelles never appeared on screen. The model was schedualed to appear in Star Trek Generations and was overhauled for the big screen but it was never used. +

Ahh right you are. Just watched TrekCore's "SD to HD comparison" video from that episode, and noticed the Enterprise-C was a regular Ambassador. Not the "Zhukov" version.

Here is a comparrion between the ent-c and the refit. Going over the refit sauce references there are somethings on the ent-c that need to come off as they are only on the refit. Main problem is there is little decent source photos of the ent-c so any blueprints have to be taken with a pinch of salt.

They both look great. I can never make up my mind about this ship.

Interesting to see that the nacelles are higher on the refit. I almost wish that this had been in Generations, possibly with the Ent-D colour scheme.

Apparently you've got yourself a typo in Yamaguchie's name, weird because I also thought it's Yamaguchie... turns out it should be YAMAGUCHI, no 'e' at the end of name

I saw somewhere a comparison picture, more like schematic of the "C" and Yamaguchie, I'm not sure if it was believable source but it shows Saucer shuttle bay to be longer on Yamaguchie variant as well as the airlock area just behind the bridge to be taller and larger (shows similiarity to Constitution refit airlock) but then again, I'm not sure if such differences were applied to actual model.

This is easlily the best texture job from you :) simply perfect :)

and I found the schematic ;)

This is the source I have been using as they appear to be refering to the models.

http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/articles/ambassador.htm

Just notice the Ent-c nacelles need to be at the same height as the refit. easy fix. Question the plantary sensor array on the Ent-C is wrong should a simple dome. Should I rip it off and amend it (bare in mind this is unifed with the saucer and not a quick fix).

In the end, it's up to you. Depends how accurate you want to be. Does the saucer sit lower in one version than the other? If you compare the two shots in your link that show the sensor domes, the heights of the top of the neck seem different.

Think that is an illusion the saucer was only moved on the X axis the nacelle height might also be throwing it off.

Fixed the nacelle height, and modified the array and bridge to be more canon.

They're both looking fantastic.

I have read where the refit version's nacelles are lower than that of the "C".  Not a lot, but lower.  Either way, they're beautiful.

He's already been through this and has said that he's sticking with the tall pylons as the short ones never appeared on screen.  They were going to have the shortie appear in generations but sh*tcanned it at the last second.  It actually says that in your source :)
That said, I always thought the ambo looked better with the slightly shorter pylons..
I miss :bigdance:

Been cutting the port nacelle up and next the starboard. Can start to add the burn marks to the hull then.

Note, the blue section on the nacelles was turned off whislt I cut up the mesh. It will be back.
