inquirey - ship classes
« on: April 01, 2009, 01:35:28 PM »
hi im new here and was wondering if some ship classes are either under devlopment or exhisting
Enterprise era:
1] NX class NX-01*
2] NX class NX-02*
3] Yorktown class

TOS and TOSM[tos era movies ie 1-the opening of generations]
1]Applo
2]Applo refit
3]Mrianda refit
4]Constitution [the ncc-1701 was of that class]
5]Constitution refit [enterprise A]
6]Soyuz

TNG, VOY, DS9, TMP
1]Saber
2]Nova
3]Streamrunner
4]defiant
5]a proper galaxy**
6]deltaflyer
7]interpid
8]luna

*- the nx-01 and nx-02 had slightly different foreward deflector arrays
** Galaxy Class Phaser array arrangement:

Primary Hull:
Three dorsal phaser arrays on the primary hull, one primary dorsal array extending three hundred forty degrees and two point defense arrays to either side of Shuttlebay 1. The arrays cover the entire semi-sphere above the ship, except for a few blind spots close to the hull and Shuttlebay. One ventral phaser array on primary hull, primary ventral array extending three hundred twenty degrees. Array covers the forward and lateral portions of the semi-sphere below the ship, except for those blind spots close to the hull. Total of four phaser arrays on primary hull.

Secondary Hull:
Two dorsal phaser arrays on the secondary hull, both are point defense arrays placed in the far aft of the ship. Three ventral phaser arrays. One primary array with coverage similar to a series of cones with the same vertex and two point defense arrays at the far aft of the ship. Total of five phaser arrays on secondary hull.

Nacelles/Pylons:
One lateral primary array on each vertical bound pylon. Coverage is similar to Secondary Hull's Ventral Primary array. Total of two phaser arrays on Nacelles. On uprated versions the dorsal nacelle housing has one array, making the new total four.

normally I'd tell you to search BCFiles.com, where you could have found almost all of those ships, unfortunately BCFiles no longer exists.  Stay tuned, a new modding network is in the works, where we will have all of those ships and more.  until then, I suggest you use the BCC search function.

BC Files does still exist. You can still use the search engine but trying to go through categories doesn't work anymore.

Except the Yorktown and Apollo, all of those ships were/are in BCfiles. As Dalekanium said, use the search function (for some reason it still works and the files can be downloaded).

Best TOS/TMP Stuff:
No Apollo classes (unfortunately) although if I remember correctly, Legacy managed to get the names mixed up. If you want the vertical two-nacelled vessel, go for DrMcCoy_1701_A Akula class.
DrMcCoy_1701_A Miranda
Constitution -  go for the TOS Canon Mod Pack
DrMcCoy_1701_A Constitution class pack
Soyuz - ZZ/Zambie Zan Miranda Pack

Best TNG Stuff to go for is:
JLS Nova
Lint's Defiant
DJ Galaxy Class Pack (closest I think you'll get with model and hardpoint)
Delta Flyer and Intrepid - CGI Voyager Pack. Best Delta Flyer model out there.
Luna - Only one Luna class and is a conversion from Armada 2. Not the best model but its the only one for BC.

The NX-Class Pack is also on BCfiles, it has the NX-01 (Hard points for different seasons) and 2, a Mirror NX-01, and 3 fictional NX-class ships.

Just wanted to point out that on a Proper Galaxy, those two phaser arrays covering shuttlebay's 2 and 3 are in fact on the Secondary hull, not the Primary hull, and you were missing the array on the cobrahead of the secondary hull, just fore of the Aux. Bridge/Battle Bridge...

However, all of these ships exist :)

Holy Hannah, it is back up.  I don't know how long this will last though, because I'm still locked out of the admin page and the farewell message is still up

ok before the thread is completely derailed, to go back to the initial post...

use the search function...  99% of all WIPs (as far as ships go) can all be found here at BCC, if they are being done...  if you cant find them here, chances are pretty strong they are not being done...

I'd like to see more of Lt. Kevin Riley's "Loknar II-Class / U.S.S. Phobos". I'd like to see it with a slightly hybrid bridge. Defiant-Class meets the Intrepid-Class (USS Voyager,) bridge.

ok, first of all, please do not hijack people's threads, especially old ones, instead you should create your own.  Secondly, only a handful of people can make full bridges, it's not as easy as it seems, and they are all busy with other projects, they cannot take requests.
