Step-by-step mod installation guide ?

Greetings

First of all I wanna say I'm new to this community aswell as the game, so please be patient with me, eventually I will get there with some road signs here and there 
Lately I've been watch the Voyager series and I'm totally lost.
I started to search for games with Voyager or with an addon and found this addon and notice I needed STBC, I asked a friend to dig thru he's old pc games in he's basement and found it he got it.

Secondly, and to my problem.
A few days ago I downloaded "CGI Voyager Pack (1.0)" from the Bridge Commander Filefront side.
Since then I've been trying to install the addons, but it doesn't matter if I install 1 or 5 addons, I still get a black screen with a yellow com-badge cursor.
I've been looking thru some posts here and found similair errors, but most of the people that been using this addon has installed the mod successfully.

My question now, how did all of you do?

Is there a step-by-step installation guide that tells me which order I shall install these addons in, or can someone guide me thru it ?

I know, I'm most likely a pain in someone's rear end at the moment and this question have probably been on the board before(couldn't find it tho), but hopefully with some help I will get this to work.


By the way...
What I did was.

1. Install BC.
2. Install BC patch 1.1
3. Install BCMI and BCMP
4. Install nanofx2.0_beta

And after that the errors start to knock on my door.
So what I'm looking for is a, shall we say, first_time_guide or noob_guide?    :lol:

That never worked for me.  I instead installed Kobayashi Maru, which includes that and lots of other cool things.

Look up at the stickies, we need something called a Console Report.


When the black screen occurs, a script (a piece of code) was failed, but after that is corrected you can continue.

Also, BCMI and BCMP are relatively old, a newer, and more stable, program has been made called BC Universal Tool, which can also be found on the website you mentioned.

Since you installed NanoFX it's quite likely that the error you are having is from a missing file, please check that you have scripts/FoundationTriggers.py if you don't, please create an empty file with that exact name (including the extension, which is the part after the dot). And then it should work (atleast for that part of the system).

Many thanks for the reply's and the help. 
I've currently installed the mod called "Kobayashi Maru", and that seems to work outstanding.
I got Voyager in that mod aswell, so I think I stick to that one, was easy to install to.

Anyone know if there is any specific mission to this mod ?
I can go to alot of places, but haven't really found anything to do except add a few hostiles and either flee or engage   :lol:

I'm afraid BC is fairly limited in that respect, but I believe a mod called DS9FX adds other missions as well.
It might have been included in KM, but unfortunately I don't know for sure.

Yes its already in there like almost everything else(mods...not ships that is).
