Looks nice Baz, I wonder what it would look like if you added the engineering department under it and let it hang back.

Nice work. :) I already have plans for my interpretation of the JJ Miranda class and it looks a slight bit different than yours. Since the JJ-era ships have a different yet familiar design style, why would they build the Miranda class exactly like it was in the TWOK? You would think that they would alter it a bit.  Though the Miranda class looks boxy in some areas, try to make it look a bit streamlined. I'm just giving some ideas. :)

What he said. :D

While you're at it, I would slightly reposition the nacelle pylons.  If I could redesign the Miranda, I would change that horrible junction.

I have deleted the beta version of the Kelvin-refit since it has been downloaded 11 times and I have only sent the link to 3 people who asked.

It is not right or fair for people to download a ship that is not ready for general release and still needs work.

In the future I will leave the nif file out of the zip and e-mail it to the beta tests to stop people using the ship before it is ready.

Peace

Indeed baz, indeed.

The Mirry looks awesome!

I feel compelled to express my disappointment in the people who weren't beta testers that downloaded the beta anyways.  I was slated to be one of the beta testers for the Kelvin-A, but Filefront was giving me trouble yesterday, so I did not get a chance to do so.  I applaud baz's idea for preventing such a thing from occurring in the future, and I think all modders should follow suit.

The Miranda looks nifty, can't wait to see how she ends up.

One thing that has always bothered me about the Miranda and other classes where the nacelles were under the ship. ( "cannon" wise ) (And especially with this nacelle design) Might it look better of the nacelles were flipped so that the bottom of the nacelles were pointing up? (always made more sense to me technologically speaking, the way they were primarily used with the pylon transfer conduits at the bottom of the nacelle) Just a thought.  :) But I definitely like what I see so far, far and away way better than what I could do with my limited abilities. :)

I preferred the original warp nacelle pylons. Now they look like they might snap off in a breeze...forgive the analogy. But I think the nacelles are going to have to be a teensy weensy bit longer anyway. Nothing is perfect.

maybe beef up the width of the nacelle pylons? Extend a bit fore and some aft, but not quite to the lip of the cowling.

kinda, he had em cutting through the lip of the cowling tho, and right smack in the middle of the nacelles
