Vista 64bit + Widescreen = Crash

Has anyone got wide screen working in 64bit windows vista?

I installed BC on my Laptop, it runs fine at 1024x768 full screen, but when I change the options file to 1440x900 the game crashes when I try to start quickbattle.

I have no mods installed I'm at stock BC with the patch.

Custom resolutions are always hit or miss.

It also isn't one of the normal widths that BC recognizes.
The closest is either 1280 or 1600. That is, width, BC is more lenient with the height.

While I do have a Vista computer now, it's even widescreen, it's not 64 bits (or no 64bits Vista is installed).

Ok gotcha I'll try smaller res.

1280x720 worked.

Then I'm afraid your stuck on that one. If you want to play in fullscreen mode that is.

I take it the GUI looks a bit squashed?
