That happened because I used one of the filters on photoshop so that the hull shows through and was pleased with its look. I will certainly call you if I need to port it ;)

I am working on the deflector at the moment but having trouble deciding how it should look. Does anyone have ideas on how it could look?

Blue? hehe.
As for the shape, you should have a blue outline glow and a big inner part like on voyager.

Something unique to match the ship, perhaps like the Yamato B a nice off white color but with thin red stripes through it or blue stripes to give a more advanced feel and a sense of power.
