Valiant Class
« on: June 27, 2007, 03:18:09 PM »
Some of you might be wondering why the Ent-F thread has been a bit dead for the past week.  Well... this is why.

I was inspired by the WIP USS Kyoto to produce my own post-Defiant Starfleet Escort class.

It will be a part of the my Delta series pack being released this summer.  Expect similar weapons to the Defiant, only enhanced.  Valiant will also boast improvements in maneuverability and shield strength and recharge.

There will be several Valiant Class ships released.

There might be one update to this thread before Saturday.  After that I'm out of the city for a week, so I'll be AWOL from the forums.  That's why I figured I'd post this now, even though I wanted to wait until it was finished.

   This ship rocks, for me Kyoto classifies as heavy escort/scout or light cruiser but this is truly pure evolution of defiant  :)

Defiants older brother!

Nice job on the model. Will it have the Defiant class USS Valiant's registry from the DS9 episode of the same name? (I cant remember the Valiants registry number)
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

Defiant's younger brother actually. lol

The registry that's on it is the one it will keep.  If you look really carefully at the numbers, you'll understand why. :)

Mayhemuk --> Thanks.  As far as size goes, this is similar to the Defiant.  This ship also has four decks.  I'd say it's slightly smaller though.

Awesome model you have there DJ. I love how you blended the nose to the body, it was one of the things i did not like at the original defiant.

Although not specifically stated how many decks the ship had, 6 decks is far more probable then only 4 decks. Especially considering I destinctly recall them being on Deck 5 in one episode :P

As for the new Valiant, it looks awesome. A possible precursor to the Wells Class for sure.
