Forgive me but I cannot resist. Paint this on the sides of the nav. deflector housing, lol.

Ok, silliness aside, I think it's a very sleek streamlined design. My only critique is the underside of the bow where it blends into the saucer seems a bit awkward to me (just my personal taste), however it does seem appropriate given what you wanted to accomplish. Nice work.

find WZ's Tiburon class lol

You, sir DJ, are a GOD.

This is one the best Defiant variant I've *ever* seen. Very aerodynamic, very sleek and smooth, and totally awesome. Can't *wait* to play with this thing.

Thanks for the C&C guys.  I'm back in the city now, so i'll be working on these again soon.  I'm gonna take a bit of a break though.  I can build meshes all day long, but texturing really starts to bore me.

Hollister, CA?  Is that really the reason you chose that registry?  I can't find another reference to that sequence of numbers, but that seems like an iffy reason.

Personally i think that she should have the DS9 Valiant's Registry with an A at the end.

N.X.-74210-A

that being said, this is a gorgeous ship.  worthy of high praise from the entire BC community.

The registry number is most of the Defiant's number... just backwards and starting with a 9 to better represent the era.

Defiant: 74205
Valiant: 95024

I don't like the bussards. They need to be boxier & more "predatory" (psychologically intimidating,) such as the ones on the Xenon-Class. Make 'em appear a bit less TOS & more TNG/VOY/DS9 & Beyond.

Hellsgate, while I'm sure that DJ is capable of answering your post himself, I would appreciate it if you were a bit more polite in the way you critique the art here.

BTW, Welcome to BCC.

so DJ what are you planning in terms of this bad boys armament? is it going to be much like the Defiant or have you got something more unique in mind for your ravenous fans

I think the armaments will be fairly straight forward.  They will represent expected improvements in strength and capacity.  To be honest, it's still in the texturing stage, and I haven't looked at it in a month, so I really haven't thought about the HP yet.

Great to see how an unorthodox design and efficiency of the defiant would lead to such new starship designs. To imagine evolution of such pocket battleships would result perhaps someday into the Wells-class. ;)
